| haha yeah... well i went down a diffrent path for a bit, but it got old quick. Something about building a car, and then not being able to drive it because everyone is trying to steal it sucks. Let alone coming home to 2 guys running out of your garage. How you guys been though? Ill get you that dudes number, i didnt have a chance to call tony today because i had to do my cousins brakes after work. |

Stayed up till 4 am last night cleaning my summer rims and painting my skidplate. You can also see my 034 density line mount engine mount. already have BFI stage 2 mounts on the tranny and dogbone. my teeth will fall out for sure when i install that deal
that raw aluminum finish with some kind of anti-corrosive coating wasnt cuttin it. I fittingly painted the Diesel Geek Panzer plate camo

Well today I swapped back over to the sticky summer tires, which really highlighted a problem i've been having for at least the last 20k miles.
slipping clutch.
In the past you stab the gas in first and the tires just ignite, now i cant get em to spin, just slippage.
I think with my next paycheck I am going to buy alot of the suspension stuff
(swingarms with tt/R32 bushings, new ball joints, new wheel bearings) and a clutch/flywheel combo.
I've got some new prothane swaybar bushings, but i dont think they are what im going to want to use for this car.
then i guess I need to buy coils. shold i get koni, h&r, bilstein, B&G, or kw? i dont really know, never had experience with em before. oh yea, and h2sport lowering spindles too.
I did the suspension on this car a few times in the past, adn was never happy with the result. so this time i dont want to cut any corners and simply rebuild everything from the strut mounts to the ballj's and wheelbearings to new swingarms |

damn dude dont throw the whole bank at it I like the skidplate though. What density did you go with for the 034 mount? Im curious as i was thinkin of going with the race so let me know how you like it. I have h&r coils, ive riden in eibach and koni. Mine are deffnitly on the stiffer end. The koni's preform well but everyone i know seems to get pissed about the hight adjustablity. I love my h&r's though, like i said a little on the stiff side but i like that, great range of hight too. |

thanks man.
I dont know what density I ordered. I just pm'ed that INA dude and got the package from Javad from 034. I already have the BFI stage 2 inserts in the trans and dogbone, but got sick of waiting for them to release inserts for the engine side.
Trust, i'm not throwing the whole bank at it. the good majority is going to bills i've been neglecting. The bug has close to 90k on it now, i've always wanted to get shit done on it and i finally can so its sweet
so you have a mk4 jetta now? Can i drive it around the block to feel your coils sometime? |

Hmmm, I guess I'll update a little.
I feel a little out of the loop having my car on stock suspension, but have to hold off a little bit longer.
Looks like I'm going to buy a nice mountain bike this week, i've been having urges to hit the trails, and should be doing some kind of cardio since i stare at a computer screen all day. It will be the first real action since my surgery last september that has bothered me since then. f-ing hernias
I'm going to save more $$$ with this paycheck, pay off my CC's and take delievery of my MK1 next weekend!!!!!!!!
The weekend after that Rory said he'd help me out with the beetle's timing belt and waterpump replacement. its in need.
Heres a pic from this weekend, I had a blast. walking around being semi-drunk, just feelin good. well now im freaking hung over hahahhahhahha.
no bug love, but its a good background. need...to...slam..bug...now

I just picked up the bike down in berlin.
hydraulic brakes
130mm travel on the front fork
$1399 new
kid tuned it up free today (works at bike shop)
aftermarket pedals, grips, bar ends, stem.....
all in all it was a great deal.... (but it was only $50 less than my jetta, ) |
